Job summary

Great American Insurance Group’s Crop Division in Lawrence, KS is hiring an Associate Underwriter I–IV. The role supports underwriting decisions, reviews policy data, and communicates with agents to obtain information for timely endorsements and policy issuance.

The position requires crop insurance exposure or related experience, an associate degree in business/finance, and on-site work five days weekly with potential remote work after one year.

Qualifications

• Crop insurance experience preferred.
• Associates Degree in Business/Finance or related field, or equivalent.
• On-site five days a week with potential remote work after one year.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal policies within authority.
• Review policy information for assigned products/territories.
• Audit and verify policy data and underwriting requirements.
• Gather information for underwriting decisions on new/renewal/change requests.
• Communicate with agents and customers to obtain information.
• Provide support to underwriters and organize underwriting information for faster decisions.
