Job summary

Northern Ag, a division of Border Bank, is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Roseau, Minnesota to support crop insurance agents and brokers. The role emphasizes organization, data accuracy, and customer service, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, data entry, and event coordination.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel/Office skills, a Minnesota Crop Insurance Agent License (or willingness to obtain within 12 months), and 1–3 years of related experience in agriculture,

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication and organizational skills to support crop insurance agents and brokers.
• Experience in agriculture, insurance, marketing, customer service, or administrative support preferred (1-3 years).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments with agents regarding crop insurance deadlines and program updates.
• Enter, process, and verify MPCI and hail insurance reports throughout the crop year.
• Maintain spreadsheets and tracking tools for MPCI deadlines and project progress.
• Prepare and distribute materials related to crop insurance deadlines, meetings, and events.
• Support marketing campaigns and coordinate event materials.
