Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a part-time role in Wisconsin. The position includes full anesthesia services with a focus on patient safety, preop evaluation, and postoperative analgesia, in collaboration with surgeons and the care team.

You will work M-F 0700-1500 with no weekends or holidays, no on-call duties, and a supportive education and quality-improvement environment.

Qualifications

Active RN, and APRN license in state of practice, AND
Active NBCRNA certification as CRNA.
Active DEA registration prior to hire.
If Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire
ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by site prior to or within 6 months of hire
Master’s Degree in Nursing
Experience Required: No experience required

Responsibilities

Provides pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and post-anesthesia services including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
Manages conditions based on indication, evidence-based care, and risk assessment.
Performs preoperative evaluation and orders/prepares studies and medications.
Ensures readiness of equipment, supplies and medications for planned anesthetic.
Delivers anesthesia care including induction, maintenance, and emergence.
Administers anesthetics and monitors response, intervening as needed.
Post-anesthesia duties, analgesia and safe transfer of care.
Manage emergencies with airway management and ACLS interventions.
Maintains documentation in EMR; coding and billing compliance.
Engages in quality, safety, and education initiatives; onboarding of new staff.
