Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Nurse Anesthetist to join the anesthesia care team. You will select and administer intravenous, spinal and other anesthetics prior to and during procedures, monitor patients, and maintain thorough records in alignment with KP policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia evaluations, communicating risks to patients, and ensuring safe post-anesthesia care. Requires California CRNA certification and active RN license, with ACLS/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and accredited anesthesia school by date of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) required at hire.
• Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Basic Life Support.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Selects and administers intravenous, spinal and other anesthetics during procedures.
• Monitors patient reactions and vital signs during and after anesthesia.
• Submits postoperative report and maintains records of anesthetics.
• Performs procedures outside of the OR in accordance with Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and physician orders.
• Keeps current accurate and complete records of procedures and patient conditions prior to anesthesia.
• Charts details of procedures in progress notes.
• Adheres to KP policies and participates in ongoing safety and quality initiatives.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia by date of hire
