Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA for part-time anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgeries in Alabama. The role supports teaching nurse anesthesia students and participates in cardio-thoracic procedures when needed.

The schedule runs 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., with alternating weekends (Weekend 1: Sat/Sun; Weekend 2: Sat or Sun) and a two-week rotation. Eligible candidates hold ACLS/BLS/PALS and Alabama CRNA certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program; education cannot be substituted by experience.
• APN with CRNA Specialty certified by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
