Base pay range

$97.75/hr - $156.40/hr

Work in a collaborative & supportive environment. Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic health system; our Winston Salem Campus is a Level 1 trauma center. While working in the Outpatient Anesthesia Department, you will expand your skillset by handling a wide variety of cases, including but not limited to: Orthopedic, Vascular, Burns, Cardiothoracic (specific team), Neurology, ENT, General/Abdominal, Robotic, Gynecology. Other cases may include: EP, IR, MRI, Burn Tank, Brachytherapy, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).

We also have a brand NEW freestanding surgery center that will be completed in 2025. Start in our current centers and transition to the new facility next year.

What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during inpatient procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Potential for and encouragement to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – mentor and assess medical students
Use clinical decision-making to determine appropriate patient care plans for perioperative and anesthesia care, considering co-morbidities and age/development
Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care
Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention
Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards and confidentiality
Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care
Exhibit professionalism through teamwork and commitment to ongoing professional development
Contribute to cost containment by conserving resources
Perform other related duties as assigned

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental credentialing from the institution.

CRNA Requirements

Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program; Master’s Degree or higher required
Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing; currently certified or recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board
Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS
Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams
