Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA) to join the Inpatient Anesthesia Team in Winston-Salem, NC. The position offers up to $140,000 in recruitment incentives and significant education assistance of up to $75,000 for Student Anesthetists.

As a member of the healthcare team, the SRNA will provide quality anesthesia care, maintain patient records, and uphold safety standards while collaborating with a diverse medical team in a supportive environment.

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic health system, and our Winston Salem Campus is a level 1 trauma center. While working in the Inpatient Anesthesia Department, you will expand your skillset by working on a wide variety of cases, including but not limited to: Orthopedic, Vascular, Burns, Cardiothoracic (specific team), Neurology, ENT, General/Abdominal, Robotic, Gynecology. Other cases you may experience, outside of the day-to-day, include: EP, IR, MRI, Burn Tank, Brachytherapy, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).

What You’ll Do As CRNA

As a valued member of our healthcare team, the SRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during Inpatient Procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Uses medical decision‑making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri‑operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co‑morbidity and age & developmental guidelines.
• Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team‑based care;
• Upholds patient safety, drives quality improvement, and promotes infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
• Documents and maintains patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
• Maintains scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
• Exhibits professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Contributes to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.

SRNA Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an eligible CRNA program.
• Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
