Qualifications

  • Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or Higher Required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing + current NBCRNA certification.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, BLS certifications and ability to demonstrate clinical competency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia using safe, quality techniques during procedures.
  • Potential to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists and mentor medical students.
  • Determine patient care plans with peri-operative and anesthesia considerations.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure team-based care and patient safety.

What You’ll Do

As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during procedures.

  • Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
  • Uses medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri-operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co-morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
  • Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care; Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
  • Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
  • Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
CRNA Requirements

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.

  • Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or Higher Required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
