Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, seeks CRNAs to administer anesthetics for surgical and obstetrical procedures and other medical operations. You will monitor patients’ vitals, adjust anesthetics, and ensure safe recovery in collaboration with surgical teams.

Eligible candidates include MSN/DNP/DNAP CNRA graduates; RN licensure per NC BON; and AANA certification eligibility for new grads.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited MSN or DNP or DNAP CNRA program.
• Eligibility for certification by the AANA as a certified Nurse Anesthetist is required for new grads.
• Current RN licensure issued by or recognized by NCBON with approval to practice as a CRNA.

Responsabilidades

• Administer general anesthetics for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures; monitor, adjust and manage anesthesia care as needed.
• Prepare drugs, supplies and equipment; test gas machines and ensure availability of blood for emergencies.
• Review patient records to anticipate anesthetic effects; monitor vital signs and maintain patient status during procedures.
• Explain procedures and position patients; document anesthesia details on chart.
• Assist in moving patients post-anesthesia; manage post-anesthesia recovery as required.
• Supervise and instruct student nurse anesthetists and residents in anesthesia techniques.
• Disassemble equipment and maintain clean work areas; report needed repairs.
• Maintain records of anesthetics administered and generate routine activity reports.
