Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.
• CRNA clinical privileges govern responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with data collection and evaluation of patient history and planned procedure.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids safely.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic response for patient safety.
• Completes required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in the Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
