Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.
• Ability to contribute to anesthesia care in high-acuity and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data for the patient’s medical history and planned procedure.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluids, and physiologic responses for patient safety.
• Completes documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative record, and transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in the computerized Safety Portal.
