Qualifications

• Graduate from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the COA.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA per clinical privileges.
• Collect, review, and evaluate data related to the patient’s medical and surgical history with the planned procedure in mind.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepare and administer medications and fluids per accepted safe practice.
• Monitor airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic responses to ensure patient safety.
• Complete documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
• Log incident reporting in the Safety Portal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
