Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to administer general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical and other procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, in accordance with hospital standards of care.

You will prepare drugs, monitor intraoperative and postoperative conditions, maintain equipment, and collaborate with surgeons to address patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an educational program in Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs and Schools.
• CRNA licensure and California RN license.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• National Provider Identifier and CRNA National Certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers general and regional anesthesia under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist.
• Performs airway management and monitors patient status intraoperatively.
• Selects anesthetic approach based on pre-operative assessment and patient needs.
• Prepares drugs for administration and maintains anesthesia equipment.
• Evaluates post-operative patient condition and coordinates care with the surgical team.
