Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist under physician supervision to administer general and regional anesthesia for surgeries across neonatal to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include airway management, monitoring, fluid balance, and rapid response to airway/cardiopulmonary emergencies, with collaboration among MDAs, CRNAs and anesthesia technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an educational program in Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
• Registered Nurse license (California) and CRNA certification within 5 months of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire; Basic Life Support required at hire

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia to all age groups.
• Maintains patient stability intraoperatively and monitors throughout procedures.
• Communicates with surgeon and physician anesthesiologist regarding patient concerns.
• Checks anesthesia equipment daily and between cases for safe operation.
• Maintains accurate controlled substances records as per policy.
• May perform other duties within scope of licensure as required.
• Note: work within an anesthesia team with MDAs, CRNAs and techs.
