Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia services as part of the surgical team. The role requires administering general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care, in collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia colleagues.

Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia care, with emphasis on safety, evidence-based practice, and effective pain management.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN licensure and APRN license(s) in state(s) of practice; NBCRNA certification.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire; Illinois license if practicing in IL.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by site prior to/within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and post-anesthesia care per anesthesia plan.
• Manage anesthesia care including induction, maintenance and emergence.
• Assess risks/benefits and alternatives for patient care.
• Prepare equipment, supplies and medications for planned anesthetic.
• Document care accurately in EMR and maintain compliance with billing.
