Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests in Birmingham and central Alabama. The role includes participation in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required, with CRNA specialty certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Current APN with CRNA specialty per Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current PALS certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
