Job summary
UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Nurse Anesthesiologist CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist across diverse surgical procedures and tests. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students in a leading academic medical center.
The role requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, APN with CRNA specialty certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
