Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures. The role includes participation in clinical instruction for nurse anesthesia students.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, and current certification as an APN with CRNA specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing, plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Currently certified with ACLS, BLS and PALS by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of Nurse Anesthesia students.
