Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the Division of Community Anesthesia at the UAB St. Vincent’s East campus. The role involves providing anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.

Shifts are flexi/PRN, offering autonomy within a collegial team of six anesthesiologists and more than 19 CRNAs, with opportunities to contribute to education of nurse anesthesia students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program required.
• Alabama CRNA license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participates in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Key Responsibilities are performed under the direction of the anesthesiologists according to the policy and procedures of the Department of Anesthesiology.
