Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a CRNA Faculty Instructor for the School of Nurse Anesthesia at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. The role supports COA standards compliance, coordinat es the clinical program, and contributes to didactic instruction for SRNAs.

The candidate will participate in didactic and clinical instruction, assist in student evaluations, and help advance professional development within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia education program.
• Doctoral degree from a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program or currently enrolled in a doctoral program.
• Experience as a CRNA in a clinical role for 1 year minimum; 3 years preferred.
• Preceptor experience required; lecture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring compliance with COA standards and guidelines.
• Coordinate activities and committees to meet program goals.
• Involved in interview and selection of students as needed.
• Assist in coordination of the clinical program, including scheduling SRNAs.
• Communicate with clinical rotation sites for evaluation of students.
• Review student anesthetic management plans and assist in clinical/didactic evaluations.
• Act as a professional role model for nurse anesthesia students.
• Promote staff and preceptor development and liaison with the staff and SONA.
• Support PD and APD with planning for students in remediation.
• Participate in didactic and clinical instruction.
