Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a CRNA Faculty Instructor for the School of Nurse Anesthesia in New Haven, CT. This full-time role involves day rotation, 40 scheduled hours, and responsibilities across didactic and clinical instruction.

The candidate must be COA-accredited with a doctoral degree (DNP/DNAP) or be enrolled in a doctoral program. Prior CRNA teaching/precepting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a graduate of a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
• A Doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNP/DNAP) or currently enrolled in a program conferring a Doctoral Degree.
• 3+ years of precepting/teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring COA standards and guidelines compliance.
• Assist in coordinating activities to achieve program goals.
• Involved in interview and selection of students as needed.
• Coordinate clinical program scheduling for SRNAs.
• Communicate with rotation sites for evaluation of students.
• Review student anesthetic management plans and conduct evaluations.
• Serve as a professional role model for nurse anesthesia students.
• Promote staff and preceptor development and liaise with SONA.
• Support PD and APD with remediation planning.
• Participate in didactic and clinical instruction.
