Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical anesthesia duties per privileges.
• Assists with data review of patient medical/surgical history for planned procedures.
• Maintains safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per standards of practice.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic responses during anesthesia.
• Completes documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
