Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and evaluate patient medical and surgical history data with consideration of planned procedure.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepare and administer medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitor airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic responses to ensure patient safety.
• Complete required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
• Log incident reporting in the Safety Portal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
