Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
• Ability to interpret data from medical history and planned procedure to support patient care.
• Strong clinical judgment to maintain patient safety and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data for the patient’s medical history and planned procedure.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids according to safe practice standards.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic response to ensure patient safety.
• Completes documentation including surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative record, and transfer notes.
