Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the CAC or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating patient data for planned procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Continuously assesses airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic response to anesthesia to ensure patient safety.
• Completes required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in the Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Required: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
