Job summary

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a licensed nurse with advanced training in anesthesia. The CRNA administers, monitors, and adjusts anesthetic doses for patients of all ages during surgery and other procedures.

Limited to select locations based on unique workplace dynamics. Joining Baylor Scott & White Health means contributing to safe, high-quality perioperative care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary anesthesia team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CRNA certification is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be completed within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician pre-anesthetic evaluation and lab data.
• Administers, monitors and adjusts anesthetic doses for patients of all ages during surgery and other procedures.
• Induces and manages anesthesia as prescribed by staff anesthesiologists; ensures patient safety.
• Monitors life support data and verifies equipment function throughout anesthesia.
• Documents all perioperative events and post-anesthetic course per department policies.
