Job summary

Avera Health at Avera St Mary's Hospital in Pierre, SD, seeks CRNAs/RN anesthetists to provide comprehensive anesthesia services from pre-op assessment through post-op care. Weekday shifts run 0630–1500 with weekend call requirements, and post-call days off are supported. Works within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care.

Expect a challenging environment across varied procedures, with strong emphasis on safety, education, and collaboration. CME support and a sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• CRNA license active in state of practice prior to hire.
• RN license active in state of practice prior to hire.
• NBCRNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicates it to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains essential venous access.
• Maintains airway establishment and monitoring.
• Induces and maintains anesthesia and monitors appropriately.
• Completes anesthesia and emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff after procedures.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case.
• Instructs anesthesia students as clinical instructor.
