Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic cases.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and current CRNA/APN certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, with ACLS/BLS/PALS in good standing. UAB Medicine offers strong educational programs and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
ACLS certification required.
BLS certification required.
PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
