Job summary
UAB Medicine seeks a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical and cardio-thoracic procedures. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program with CRNA certification is required, along with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. This is a full-time role with a strong benefits package and PSLF eligibility.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
