Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a CRNA to provide advanced nurse anesthesia for surgical and obstetrical patients. Requires MSN, NBCRNA, APRN license, ACLS/PALS/BLS, and 2–3 years of experience. Schedule 7AM–5PM, full-time; responsibilities include peri-operative assessments and anesthesia administration.

Responsibilities extend to regional blocks, airway management, and post-op rounds, with emphasis on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• APRN license in state of employment required.
• CRNA certification from NBCRNA required.
• ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications required.
• 2–3 years of CRNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients peri-operatively and review health records.
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia.
• Perform post-operative rounds and patient education.
• Place central venous lines and Swan-Ganz lines.
• Provide regional anesthesia including spinal, epidural, and IV blocks.
• Initiate and transcribe orders; monitor ventilation and patient status.
