Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a CRNA to provide advanced anesthesia services in Longview, TX. The CRNA will assess patients, prepare and administer anesthesia, monitor during procedures, and participate in post-operative care under physician delegation.

Requirements include MS in Nursing, APRN license with CRNA NBCRNA, ACLS, PALS and BLS. Two to three years of experience preferred. This PRN, per diem role offers flexible scheduling in a busy surgical environment focused on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• APRN license in state of employment required; CRNA NBCRNA certification required.
• ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications required.
• 2–3 years of CRNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients peri-operatively and review records to determine health status.
• Perform regional, spinal, epidural, and IV blocks.
• Administer general, regional, local anesthesia and manage peri-operative care.
• Place central venous lines and manage fluids, medications and blood products.
• Initiate and transcribe orders per collaborating physician; monitor patients peri-operatively.
• Provide post-operative rounds and patient/family education.
• Ensure infection control and safety, and maintain a safe patient environment.
