Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY invites an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. Administers anesthesia under Attending Anesthesiologist supervision and handles local, inhalation, and IV anesthetics during surgeries and procedures.

Maintains airway and delivers safe patient care across the perioperative continuum. The ideal candidate has a CRNA certification, masters in CRNA, NYS RN license, ACLS and PALS.

Qualifications

• CRNA license/certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Master’s Degree in CRNA program.
• Current NYS RN License and CRNA Certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications; NYS Infection Control certificate.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia under supervision of Attending Anesthesiologist.
• Administers local, inhalation, intravenous anesthetics during procedures.
• Performs complete pre-anesthetic assessment with patient history and labs.
• Prepares for case management with equipment and safety precautions.
• Maintains airway management and safe anesthesia delivery; responsive to emergencies.
• Provides post-anesthetic care and detailed handoff to recovery staff.
