Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to administer anesthesia under the supervision of the Attending Anesthesiologist, including local, inhalation, intravenous and other anesthetics during surgery and procedures.

The CRNA will perform pre-anesthetic assessments, prepare case management, manage airway, and provide post-anesthetic care in collaboration with the PACU team, with safety and patient-centered care at the core.

Qualifications

• CRNA license to be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Master's Degree from CRNA program.
• Current NYS RN License and CRNA Certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification; NYS Infection Control Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Performs anesthesia under supervision of Attending Anesthesiologist.
• Administers local, inhalation, intravenous and other anesthetics.
• Performs Complete Pre-Anesthetic Assessment including labs and history.
• Prepares for case management and ensures equipment is ready and safe.
• Manages airway and anesthesia techniques; responds to emergencies.
• Provides post-anesthetic management and reports to PACU staff.
