Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Certified RN Anesthetist (CRNA) for Woodhull to administer anesthesia under supervision and support perioperative care across surgical and obstetric procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, invasive monitoring, life support during anesthesia, and post-anesthesia evaluation, with rotating shifts. Requires NYS RN license, CRNA certification or GRNA eligibility, and an advanced nursing degree.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN License required.
• CRNA Certification or GRNA certificate with letter qualifying to sit for the national boards.
• Advanced degree in Nursing required.
• 4-5 years of similar experience required.
• Must be comfortable working rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance duties.
• Attends in-service training programs, conferences and departmental meetings to keep abreast of current knowledge in anesthesiology and improve patient care.
• Performs appropriate pre-anesthesia assessment and post-anesthesia evaluation and follow-up of the patient.
• Performs invasive arterial/venous cannulations, and monitors vital functions.
• Performs life support functions during the period in which anesthesia is administered, including induction and intubation procedures.
• Administers general/regional and local anesthesia for patients undergoing surgical and obstetrical procedures on an elective or emergency basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
