Job summary

Katmai seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia and related services at a Colorado Military Treatment Facility, complying with hospital and AANA guidelines. Responsibilities include comprehensive perioperative care and pain management within scope of practice as determined by competency and licensure.

The role involves pre-, intra-, and postoperative evaluations, medical management, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program.
• Registered Nurse with an active advanced practice license per jurisdiction requirements.
• Current certification from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists; recertified every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and all levels of sedation for pediatric and adult patients, including pre-, intra-, and postoperative evaluation and care.
• Provide pain management, consultation, and referral as indicated by patient status.
• Monitor and manage anesthesia experiences, fluid therapy, invasive monitoring, and postoperative evaluations.
• Advise anesthesiologist of adverse reactions and take appropriate action as directed.
• Assist training of staff in venipuncture, IV therapy, respiratory care, and anesthesia.
• Prepare and sign all required reports/forms; participate in professional staff activities.
