Job summary

Central Maine Long Term Care, Inc is recruiting a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) to administer medications to residents in a licensed facility. You will work under a nurse's supervision, following state and federal regulations and facility policies.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and possess a Residential Care Specialist 1 or PSS certificate, along with a 40-hour medication administration certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a Residential Care Specialist 1, or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certificate. May be trained within 4 months of employment.
• Must have state approved 40-hour certificated medication administration certification.
• Previous experience in long-term care resident care is preferred.
• Must possess basic mathematical skills to be able to accurately administer proper medication dosage.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Works within policy and procedure and state/federal regulations.
• Interacts with residents, families, medical staff, and facility personnel.
• Performs resident care when not assigned as CRMA.
