Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior IT Leader to provide leadership to application delivery and support teams, including design, development, and maintenance.

You will steer policy development, process standards, and staff management to optimize operations and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to plan and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget while evolving the software architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 12+ years delivering software through design, development, release cycles
• 7+ years directly managing development teams; Salesforce experience required
• Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities to completion
• Solid understanding of Agile development methodology
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to grow people and solve problems

Responsibilities

• Lead application delivery and support teams including design, development, maintenance, content management, and project/resource management
• Develop system support policies, procedures, and standards; improve operational efficiency
• Manage staffing: hiring, wage changes, and disciplinary actions; staff development
• Plan and execute projects with Product Owners, BAs, and PMs; ensure on-schedule delivery within budget
• Oversee release planning, sprint planning, and coordination of deployments
• Drive technology architecture evolution within assigned applications; resolve technical challenges
