Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Critical Power Technician in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on servicing emergency standby generators, transfer switches, and related equipment from 7 AM to 4 PM with potential overtime for field service.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years with high voltage generator maintenance, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to travel and participate in after-hours on-call rotations. A technical background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have diagnostic skills for generator systems and switchgear.
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge of diesel/gas generators.
• Willingness to be on-call and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of critical power systems installation, start-up and commissioning.
• Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on generators, PLCs, and switchgear.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance on diesel/gas engines, generators, and transfer switches.
• Coordinate with installing electrical contractors and field teams.
• Support after-hours on-call rotation and field service requirements.
