Flexential Corp. is hiring for a data center facilities professional in the Douglasville, GA area. The role requires hands-on monitoring, maintenance of critical equipment, and strict adherence to safety, electrical and mechanical practices.

On-site presence is required, with a strong focus on uptime, efficiency, and compliance. You will work with blueprints, SOPs and MOPs, manage change windows, and participate in disaster recovery and commissioning tasks.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of data center experience.
• 1+ years of root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with building automation.
• 1+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers (feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDU, chillers, pumps, AHUs, CRAHs).
• Applicable military experience.
• 30+ hours per week on site at Douglasville, GA data centers.

• Assist with customer utilization reports (space and power).
• Read MOPs and SOPs for maintenance and operations.
• Perform facility rounds to ensure operation, aesthetics, cleanliness.
• Monitor and respond to facility alerts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

• 24x7 facility on-call responsibility
• Monitor and maintain the operations, maintenance, and repair of all mission-critical equipment and systems supporting 24x7 data center operations to achieve 99.999% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans, and other technical documents
• Drive change toward operational excellence goals
• Identify constraints and propose solutions
• Assist in disaster recovery "dry run" exercises
• Assist in commissioning efforts
• Maintain AHJ requirements
• Maintain and implement change windows per company policies
• Assist in the provisioning of power for customer orders and other electrical modifications as assigned while maintaining a safe work environment
• Assist with off-hours and weekend maintenance activities when required
• Assist with reports on customer utilization, including space and power
• Read Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance and operational aspects of the data center
• Perform assigned facility rounds to ensure proper equipment operation, aesthetics, and cleanliness
• Monitor and respond to facility equipment alerts
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of data center experience
• 1+ years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving
• Experience working with building automation
• 1+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment
• Basic understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations, including:
  • Feeders
  • Transformers
  • Generators
  • Switchgear
  • UPS systems
  • ATS units
  • PDU units
  • Chillers
  • Pumps
  • Air handling units
  • CRAH units
• Applicable military experience
• A minimum of 30 hours a week will be devoted to work directly related to the Douglasville, GA Data Centers, with physical presence required at the Douglasville site

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical certifications
• Associate's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline
• 2+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation
• Engages in management, soft skill, and emotional intelligence training
• Meets/exceeds functional and technical depth and complexity

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Walk or stand for 50% of the time
• Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Travel up to 5% of the time

Compensation

Base Pay Range: The hourly salary offered for this position is estimated to be $32.00. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
