The Critical Facilities Technician I will perform critical facility maintenance, repairs, installations, training, or oversite when bargaining unit employees are either unqualified or unavailable. Coordinates activities of workers and contractors engaged in repairs of machines and facilities. Train, lead and mentor all levels of maintenance staff. Fills in for and represents Maintenance Facility Manager when the manager is off-duty or occupied. Sets up and operates variety of machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines. Installs and repairs mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components in industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties. Robotic involvement and training. Mentor and train subordinate maintenance staff. Fills in for and represents Maintenance Facility Manager with the manager is off-duty. Coordinates activities of workers engaged in reairs of machines and facilities.
