Job summary

Hospital for Veterinary Surgery in New York City is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our critical care team. This role offers growth in a state-of-the-art, surgery-focused hospital designed for learning, teamwork, and exceptional patient care across surgical and ICU settings.

You’ll rotate across support areas, place IV catheters, monitor vitals, assist with blood draws and wound care, and communicate with clients during rounds and discharge.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in NY required.
• 2+ years in veterinary practice or surgery.
• Experience in anesthesia, ICU is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to surgical and hospitalized patients.
• Place and manage IV catheters, monitor vitals, administer meds.
• Assist with blood draws, bandaging, oxygen, and rounds.
• Communicate with clients during check-ins, updates, and discharges.
