Premier Ambulance is seeking experienced Critical Care Transport (CCT) Registered Nurses to join our team in San Diego, CA. The CCT RN provides high-acuity medical care and advanced clinical monitoring during interfacility and specialty transports.

RNs will monitor and treat patients requiring cardiac/respiratory support, IV therapies, and ventilators. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for career advancement are offered in a high-performance EMS environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire.
• CCRN or CEN certification preferred.
• CCT/transport experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care during critical care transports.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex/critical conditions.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per protocols.
• Report problems immediately to the CCT Manager.
• Manage advanced medical equipment and life-support therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and hospital staff.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and transport records.
• Communicate with sending/receiving facilities, patients, and families.
• Follow clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor EMTs and provide clinical leadership on the crew.
• Maintain readiness of transport unit and supplies.

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: San Diego - San Diego , CA 92126, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 Salary/year, Job Shift: Any, Premier Ambulance is seeking experienced and compassionate Critical Care Transport (CCT) Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. The CCT RN provides high-acuity medical care and advanced clinical monitoring to patients during interfacility and specialty transports.

Critical Care Transport Nurses utilize their training and experience to provide Basic and Advanced Life Support during high-risk ambulance transport. Working alongside specially trained EMTs, the CCT Transport Nurse provides direct patient care to patients that may require cardiac and respiratory monitoring, IV-infused medications, and ventilators. Transports are generally for critically ill patients who are being moved between hospitals and/or facilities.

Competitive compensation with daily overtime paid for all hours worked over 8 hours on short shifts (10-, 11- or 12-hour shifts) Premier Ambulance pays overtime after the 8th hour worked in a day.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout critical care transports.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex and/or critical medical conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments within scope of practice and applicable protocols.
• Report any problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the CCT Manager.
• Manage and monitor advanced medical equipment and life-support therapies as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and transport records.
• Communicate effectively with sending and receiving facilities, patients, and families.
• Follow Premier Ambulance clinical policies, procedures, protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Mentoring and providing clinical leadership to the EMTs on the crew.
• Maintain readiness of the transport unit, medical equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (Within 90 days of hire) * Two years of experience in a critical care environment (ER, ICU) in a large tertiary care facility that provides high acuity patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
• CCRN, CEN, or other relevant specialty certification preferred.
• CCT/transport experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements, if applicable.
• Emergency Room Critical Care or ICU: 2 years (Required)
