Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to provide direct and indirect patient care in coordination with RNs and physicians. You will support the care team, handle supply stocking, and help with medical records and daily tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires relevant certifications or experience as a Critical Care Tech, CNA, or medical assistant, ideally in acute care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for patient and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Emergency Medical Technician Certificate and IV Therapy Certificate or EMTA/EMTI/Paramedic Certificate required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with RN and Physician about patient/family observations to assist in treatment.
• Perform tasks (IV insertion, splinting, wound care) as directed by RN or physician.
• Provide person-centered care with sensitivity and collaboration with the care team.
• Document all tasks and observations accurately in patient records.
• Demonstrate safe clinical practices to protect patients and staff.
• Collaborate with medicine, nursing, and other healthcare professionals on care plans.
