Job summary

Health Here is seeking a compassionate Critical Care Stepdown RN to provide patient-centered care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg. The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, accurate hand-offs, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing degree and Missouri RN licensure, with BLS certification required and ACLS/NIHSS/PCCN certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN preferred).
• Current Missouri RN license or compact license.
• Required certification: BLS; preferred certifications include ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN.
• Experience in stepdown or critical care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
• Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reports to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Administer medications, monitor complex conditions such as cardiac and respiratory issues, and support patient recovery.
• Participate in team huddles, quality improvement initiatives, and shared governance activities.
