Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is seeking a Staff Nurse, RN for 2 West - CCU Stepdown on day shift at our Newark, Ohio campus. The role delivers critical care nursing to patients and requires coordination with physicians and the health care team in a fast-paced environment.

As a clinical, competent RN, you will assess, plan, implement and Evaluate nursing care, administer medications, and supervise licensed practical nurses and ancillary staff while upholding patient safety and

Qualifications

• Current R.N. licensure in Ohio (must be maintained).
• Current CPR card and maintain.
• Obtain/maintain ECG rhythm recognition.
• Ability to formulate nursing care plans.
• ACLS within six months and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of all equipment and procedures/treatments generally used in the care of critical patients.
• Safely and accurately administer medications within the scope of RN practice.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs, POCTs and other ancillary staff
• Assist physician with invasive/ non-invasive procedures performed on the nursing unit.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Monitor and ensure the accurate and timely completion of physician orders.
• Administer and monitor Critical Care drugs safely/accurately.
• Perform defibrillation, cardioversion, and external pacing effectively/safely.
• Perform other duties as requested.
