Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is a leading, nonprofit health system serving Newark, OH and surrounding communities. This Staff Nurse position supports 5 East Med/Surg Post Surgical in a modern inpatient unit, delivering nursing care through the nursing process and coordinating with the health care team.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure, current CPR/BLS, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic hospital setting, with opportunities to contribute to quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN licensure required.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications required.
• Telemetry competency within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Recognize and provide intervention to medically unstable patients, from infancy to geriatrics.
• Safely and accurately administer medications within RN scope.
• Assist physician with invasive/non-invasive procedures on the unit.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs, POCTs and other staff.
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of physician orders.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and procedures used in med/surg care.
• Maintain patient safety and follow fall risk protocols.
