Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems is seeking a Staff Nurse, RN for 2 West CCU Stepdown to deliver patient care using the nursing process, from assessment through evaluation, in a high-acuity unit.

This full-time, on-site role requires Ohio RN licensure, CPR, ECG rhythm recognition, ACLS within six months, and strong critical thinking to support safety and quality care for our community in Newark.

Qualifications

• Current R.N. licensure in Ohio (must be maintained).
• Current CPR card and maintain.
• Obtain/maintain ECG rhythm recognition.
• Obtain ACLS within six months and maintain.
• Ability to formulate nursing care plans.
• Maintain knowledge of new technology and equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• LMH accreditation may require annual education related to certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain knowledge of equipment and procedures for critical patients.
• Safely administer medications within RN scope.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs and staff.
• Assist physician with invasive/non-invasive procedures.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of physician orders.
• Administer and monitor critical care drugs.
• Perform defibrillation, cardioversion, and external pacing.
• Perform other duties as requested.
