Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems is seeking a Staff Nurse, RN for 2 West CCU Stepdown to deliver patient care using the nursing process, from assessment through evaluation, in a high-acuity unit.

This full-time, on-site role requires Ohio RN licensure, CPR, ECG rhythm recognition, ACLS within six months, and strong critical thinking to support safety and quality care for our community in Newark.

Qualifications

• Current R.N. licensure in Ohio (must be maintained).
• Current CPR card and maintain.
• Obtain/maintain ECG rhythm recognition.
• Obtain ACLS within six months and maintain.
• Ability to formulate nursing care plans.
• Maintain knowledge of new technology and equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• LMH accreditation may require annual education related to certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

A clinical competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Prescribes, delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided to patients throughout the health system. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and health care team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of all equipment and procedures/treatments generally used in the care of critical patients.
• Safely and accurately administer medications within the scope of RN practice.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPNs, POCTs and other ancillary staff
• Assist physician with invasive/ non-invasive procedures performed on the nursing unit.
• Perform crisis intervention.
• Monitor and ensure the accurate and timely completion of physician orders.
• Administer and monitor Critical Care drugs safely/accurately.
• Perform defibrillation, cardioversion, and external pacing effectively/safely.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements
