Job summary

Global Placement Firm has a Critical Care Step Down RN opportunity in Roanoke, VA. This full-time position offers weekends only (days or nights) in a high-acuity setting with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, VA RN licensure eligibility, CPR and EMR proficiency (EPIC). New graduates are encouraged to apply, with competitive sign-on bonuses available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing (eligible to sit for the VA RN licensure exam).
• Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain.
• CPR certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP as needed.
• Computer proficiency for EMR systems.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct age-specific patient assessments upon admission and throughout care, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all interventions using EPIC EMR.
• Revise care plans based on changes in patient condition, ensuring ongoing quality and safety.
• Deliver care with respect, dignity, and empathy in every patient interaction.
• Foster collaboration and teamwork within the unit to maintain high standards of clinical care.
