Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the Main Campus. The role involves direct patient care for patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, in a 14-bed unit.

You'll interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and assist with bedside procedures, while collaborating with PCNAs, interns, and providers. Rhythms include rotating weekends/holidays; bi-weekly hours total 72.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BLS and ACLS certifications either current or obtained within defined timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Perform EKG interpretation and monitor telemetry.
• Care for patients with central lines, and assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Support with respiratory care including BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and vents as needed.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management while coordinating with the care team.
